Create Connection Dialog

The Create Connection dialog appears when you select an item in the Connect category on the Start Page. It helps you to create a connection to connect a catalog to one of these databases: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, JDBC, JSON, XML, SOAP Web Service, MongoDB, and HIVE. See the dialog.

Existing Catalog

Specifies an existing catalog in the local disk.

• Catalog
  Displays the current catalog. You can select another one by selecting the button.
• Data Source
  Select a data source in the specified catalog from the drop-down list.

New Catalog

Creates a new catalog.

• Directory
  Specifies a directory to save the new catalog by manually input or using the button to select one.
• Catalog
  Specifies the name of the new catalog.

OK

Closes the dialog and opens one of the following dialogs:

• Connect to Oracle
• Connect to MySQL
• Connect to SQL Server
• Get JDBC Connection Information
• JSON Connection Wizard
• XML Connection Wizard
• SOAP Web Service Data Source
• MongoDB Connection Wizard

Cancel

Cancels the connection creation and closes the dialog.

Help

Displays the help document about this feature.
