Sort By Dialog Box
The Sort By dialog box helps you to sort values of cascading parameters by sorting other fields in the same data source as the cascading group. It appears when you select Sort By as value of the Sort option in the Options box of the New Parameter dialog box or Edit Parameter dialog box.
The following are details about options in the dialog box:
Resources
Lists the fields in the same data source as the cascading group.
Adds the selected field to be sorted.
Removes the selected field from being sorted.
Moves the selected field higher in the list.
Moves the selected field lower in the list.
Sort By
Lists the added fields to be sorted. The order of the fields determines the order of being sorted. The first field will be sorted first, and the last field will be sorted last.
Sort
Sorts the added fields one by one.
- Ascend
Sorts the current field in an ascending order. - Descend
Sorts the current field in a descending order.
OK
Applies the sorting and closes the dialog box.
Cancel
Cancels the sorting and closes the dialog box.
