Error while converting string to number

Hi,
I am trying to convert a string (it is a number in the form of string, like 5) into number for calculations in the derived field. I am getting the following error.
Could someone help me fix this error?

  Please review the ticket and get back to Logi Support engineer if the issue still persists as we were not able to reproduce the issue in-house.
