Dynamically set connection in settings.lgx

Hi Team,

I am looking for a way via which I can dynamically set the attributes of an SMTP connection tag in _settings.lgx file. Currently, I am using sessions for assigning values to attributes

 

<Connection Type="Smtp" ID="connSmtp" SmtpAuthenticationPassword="@Session.smtpPass~"  SmtpServer="@Session.smtp~" SmtpPort="@Session.smtpPort~" SmtpAuthenticationAccount="@Session.smtpUser~" SmtpAuthenticationMethod="@Session.smtpAuth~" />

 

The issue is sometimes it works sometimes not. So looking for an alternate approach

  Hi Ronny,

  Sometimes it's the case that the attributes you are trying to tokenize in the Settings definition do not support tokens; however, it sounds like it's been working on and off for you.  I'd like to learn more about how/when those @Session tokens are getting set.  What type of authentication are you using?  How do those SMTP tokens get set?

  Hi Natan, 

  First of all thanks for the response. I was able to update the settings using the plugin. i.e. reading the settings.lgx file in xml format within the plugin.. and embedding the plugin dll in settings.lgx.. so the time I ran the application it will update the smtp settings using the plugin dll
